You've surfed, you've read. If you've never hired a professional stage hypnotist before it can be a difficult task to choose a comedy stage hypnotist, this information will offer you some insight into selecting your stage hypnotist.
First of all, keep in mind all hypnotists are not equal in their abilities. There are two types of Stage Hypnotists practicing today; those that have been professionally trained or have gone through some type of extensive training.
And those who simply picked up a book on the subject or learned stage hypnosis through a weekend training.
With so many choices, it can be a difficult to separate the quality stage hypnotists. What separates a true quality act from the poor quality act is largely based on the professionalism, experience, and credentials of the stage hypnotist.
So how do you pick the right Stage Hypnotist? Evaluate your choice with these elements in mind.
1. Are they a Certified Hypnotist? You want someone that is qualified and experienced. Do they have experience with hypnosis other than stage hypnosis?
2. How many years have they been a hypnotist? It should be at least 5 years.
3. What is the nature of their show? Does it include appropriate content for your audience, music and proven material? Stage hypnotism is a unique production which requires a sound system, special skills by the hypnotist, and certain crowd conditions for a successful stage hypnosis show. Your audience is the real judge and jury. Will they enjoy the hypnotists show? Is it a clean show? Is it a safe show? Can they customize skits for your unique objectives or themes? This is an important element not be overlooked. Will they leave your guests better than they found them?
4. Are they professional? Is the hypnotist professional, passionate, talented, dynamic and original. The stage hypnosis show is an audience participation show. Do you feel comfortable they can deliver the show? Poor delivery can spell disaster. Can they “WOW” the audience? To get a true sense of the Hypnotists style look at a video sample. How are they different from other stage hypnotists? Do they have testimonials? Be certain their behavior at your event will be appropriate. Will they meet or exceed your expectations?
5. Are they insured and can you verify the hypnotist is insured for the stage? The professional hypnotist will be insured with a liability policy. Request a copy to confirm the policy is not expired. The amateur will not typically make the investment. All professional Stage Hypnotists will have a policy in place for your protection. Do not hire someone that is not insured.
6. Planning Events has its Risks & Rewards. By answering these questions you will minimize your risk and maximize your reward. When your guests leave you want them to have been entertained, with lots of laughter and with a lasting impression of having had a feel good experience.
Now, find a stage hypnotist who meets (or exceeds) your criteria for success.
